Comprehensive Endodontic & Root Canal Treatments

Endodontic treatment, or root canal treatment, treats the soft nerve tissue inside the tooth. Sometimes through disease or trauma, the nerve or pulp tissue needs to be removed. A root canal allows us to remove the nerve without removing the tooth. This is accomplished in one or possibly two appointments. Most root canal treatments can be done in the office or, if it is complex root anatomy, will be done in a specialist’s office. Once the root canal is complete, a permanent restoration (which usually is a crown) is done to help protect the remaining tooth structure.
